Who are we in Mission?
We are active in the Duncan Community
With a congregation of many healthcare workers and educators, a lot of our mission has to do with equipping hearts and minds with knowledge.  Our Parish Nurse is active throughout the community.  We also get involved with feeding the hungry, such as the Bread Bread Together ministry on Tuesdays in Duncan.  We connect to our presbytery and denomination as we fight hunger, poverty, sex trafficking, and addiction.

Les and Cindy Morgan
We support a missionary couple, Les and Cindy Morgan, who serve as medical missionaries in Bangladesh through our denomination's Mission Service. You may access their website, and read their latest newsletters, by clicking on the following link: News from Les and Cindy

We participate in the 4 Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as well as support all our denominational causes through our presbytery pledge.  This means begin involved in peacemaking efforts around the global, as well as locally and regionally.  It means fighting hungry and the systemic things that lead to malnutrition too.  Our mission work involves people power too, as we engage in mission projects like the Well locally, and through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance work teams, like responding to the recent hurricanes.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) to witness the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.  Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. The core budget, including staff and administrative costs, is funded through the One Great Hour of Sharing, and its program work is additionally funded through designated gifts.

Our Denomination
We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). In the United States there are about 2.5 million PCUSA Presbyterians, and about 11,000 PCUSA Congregations.

Our Presbytery

A Presbytery is a regional group of congregations within our denomination. We are a part of Indian Nations Presbytery. There are three Presbyteries in the state of Oklahoma. One covers the panhandle and the northern part of the state. The second covers the eastern part of the state. And our covers the central and Southwest part of the state.

Our Synod
A Synod is a larger regional church body than a Presbytery. Our Synod is the Synod of the Sun. It covers the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary (APTS)
This is the closest Presbyterian Seminary to Oklahoma, and it is the only one in our Synod. You may access the APTS website by clicking on the following link:The Official Website of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary
